The part no booking system has.

Plinth carries an athlete pathway on the same record as the booking: an intake assessment, weekly ratings by stream, coach notes, a training diary, the programs assigned and completed, and what happened in the match on Saturday. The coach writes it. The parent sees it.

Rendered illustration with an invented academy and invented players. Not a screenshot of customer data.

Why it exists

A parent pays for progress. Show it to them.

Academies lose athletes when nobody can say what changed. Not because the coaching was poor — because the evidence lived in the coach's head, a WhatsApp thread and a clipboard. Plinth puts it on the record, in a form a coach can fill in from the lane in under a minute, and a parent can read on the way home.

The pathway

From intake to progression.

  • Intake

    Player profile

Playing role, batting and bowling style, squad, school, club and level, years playing, focus areas and the athlete's own goals — captured once, kept current.

  • Baseline

    Assessment

The athlete and family rate themselves at intake. The coach then writes the baseline — a summary, three priorities, an assigned training block, goals at three months, twelve months and long term, and what success would look like. Medical notes are held as sensitive data.

  • Weekly

    Coach ratings by stream

Batting, bowling or keeping. A short set of scores, a highlight and the focus for next week, written by the assigned coach from the lane.

  • Between sessions

    Training diary

Academy attendance is on the record from the roster. Between sessions, the family logs what the athlete did at home — type, duration, a note — so the coach sees the whole week, not just the hour they had.

  • Ongoing

    Coach notes

Dated notes against the athlete, with a flag for anything that needs a director's eye. Coaches are assigned to athletes, so the right person sees the right players.

  • Prescribed

    Training programs

Programs written by the academy, targeted at squads or individual athletes, published with a date and marked complete per athlete.

  • Library

    Knowledge bank

Coaching plans, drills, references and diet plans as text or PDF, shared across centres and assigned to athletes. Internal by default; parent-visible when a coach chooses.

  • Competition

    Match performance

Fixtures, ladders and per-match performance pulled from competition platforms and the academy's own league, so training and match form sit side by side.

Who sees what

The coach writes. The parent reads. The director watches.

  • Coaches

Today's roster, their assigned athletes, each athlete's pathway in full, and a regular digest by email.

  • Parents and athletes

The pathway on the family's app — ratings, highlights, focus areas, assigned programs and knowledge items a coach has shared — beside their bookings and payments.

  • Directors

Coach-to-athlete allocations, flagged notes, and active and archived pathways across every centre.

Where it is today

Built for cricket first. Opening up next.

Plinth's development model was built inside cricket academies, so streams, ratings and match data are cricket-shaped today. Making the model sport-agnostic — configurable streams, rating sets and competition sources per sport — is one of the reasons early access is small. If you run a different sport and want to shape that, we want to hear from you.

Plinth is in daily use at three centres and is opening to a small number of academies next. Tell us about yours.
