Privacy policy

Who we are

Watzaura Infotech Pty Ltd (ABN 32 702 553 857, ACN 702 553 857) is an Australian company based in Melbourne, Victoria. We operate this website, watzaura.com, and we make Plinth, a software platform used by sports academies. This policy explains how we handle personal information under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles, and, where it applies, other privacy law such as the GDPR and India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act 2023.

This website

What we collect

watzaura.com does not use cookies, does not run analytics scripts, and does not embed third-party trackers. Reading this site sends us nothing beyond the ordinary server logs (IP address, browser type, pages requested, time) that any web server records. Those logs are kept for a short period for security and are not used to identify or profile you.

If you request early access, we collect what you enter in that form: your email address, your organisation, your role, your country and the time you submitted it. We also record the IP address the request came from, to limit abuse of the form.

Why we collect it

We use early-access details to reply to you about Plinth, to understand which academies are interested, and to send you the confirmation email you asked for. We do not sell this information, add you to a marketing list you did not ask for, or share it with anyone except the service providers below.

Who handles it for us

  • Hosting. The site and its waitlist database are hosted by Render Services, Inc., in a region we choose. Early-access records are stored in a database Render operates for us.
  • Email. Confirmation and notification emails are sent through Resend, Inc.

Each provider processes your information only to provide the service, under their own privacy terms.

How long we keep it

Early-access requests are kept until you ask us to delete them or until we no longer need them to run early access, whichever comes first. Email hello@watzaura.com to have your request removed.

Plinth

Plinth is used by sports academies to run their operations and their athletes’ development. When an academy uses Plinth, the academy decides what personal information is collected about its families, athletes and staff and why. In privacy terms the academy is the organisation responsible for that information, and Watzaura processes it on the academy’s behalf and instructions.

That information can include names, contact details, dates of birth, emergency contacts, consent records, bookings and payment history, coaching notes and ratings, photographs and video taken with consent, and — where a family chooses to provide it — medical information relevant to safe participation, which we treat as sensitive information.

If you are a parent, athlete or staff member of an academy that uses Plinth and you want to access, correct or delete your information, contact the academy first. They control the record. If you cannot reach them, contact us at hello@watzaura.com and we will help. See also our account deletion page.

Plinth data is stored with hosting providers in Australia or in a region the academy has agreed to. We use industry-standard access controls, encryption in transit, role-based permissions, and audit logs. We do not sell Plinth data or use it to advertise to anyone.

Children

Plinth holds records about children because academies coach children. Children do not hold Plinth logins; a parent or guardian holds the account and the consents. We design the product so that a coach cannot take a photograph of a child through Plinth without a consent basis on file, and so that medical notes are held separately from day-to-day records.

Your rights

You can ask us what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. We will respond within a reasonable time — normally 30 days. If you are not satisfied with our response you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (oaic.gov.au).

Changes

We will post changes to this policy on this page with a new effective date. If a change materially affects how we use information we already hold, we will tell the people it affects.
